Unconscious biases are social stereotypes about groups of people that individuals form outside their own conscious awareness. The result can be powerful unconscious conclusions about others, which are often wrong. In hiring, there is overwhelming scientific evidence that unconscious bias may influence the evaluation and selection of candidates at all levels and in all types of organizations. Fortunately, there are ways to overcome unconscious bias at the organizational and individual level. This presentation will provide you with an interactive opportunity to change your perspective on how you view others — in the workplace and in other aspects of your life.
